Jeremy's Drive Space CSM 1.1.5 What is it?   Drive Space CSM is a Control Strip Module that displays the amount of free space on each mounted volume. Compatibility The Drive Space CSM will work on any Macintosh. Installing the Drive Space CSM If you are using Mac OS 8.5 or earlier, you must drag the Control Strip Module to the Control Strip folder inside your System folder. If you are using Mac OS 8.6 or later, the Mac OS will recognize the Control Strip - merely drag it to your System Folder, and the Mac OS will move it automatically for you. With Mac OS 8.5 or earlier: 1) Open your System folder. 2) Copy the Control Strip Module to the Control Strip Folder in your System folder. 3) Restart your computer. Configuring the Drive Space CSM Once you've installed the Drive Space CSM, you can configure it to match your personal preferences.   Popup menu The popup menu lets you control the appearance of the Control Strip. Show long volume names When selected, the complete volume names will be shown. If it is disabled, then the volume names will be truncated to save space. Show volume format When selected, shows the format of the volume (MFS, HFS, or HFS+). Display free space When selected, displays free disk space. Display percent free When selected, shows the percentage of free space on each volume. Display used space When selected, displays the amount of space consumed on each volume. Display percent used When selected, shows the percentage of each volume consumed. Display space graphically When selected, shows a bar graph of the space consumed on each volume. Make graphics larger/smaller Choosing either of these will adjust the size of the bar graph accordingly. You can reduce the size of the graphics to reduce the amount of space taken up by the Control Strip.
